We are based in the best country in the world, Australia (ok, we're biased) and simply love Australian snakes, although we do focus more on our python species here.

Did you know that Australia has one of the most diverse range and variety of snakes in the world, including the 11 most venomous. That said, about the same number of people in Australia die from wasp and bee stings as they do from snake bite, according to the Australian Venom Research Unit.

Snakes in general can be seperated as either venomous or non-venomous. The former killing its prey by envenomation, the latter by asphyxiation through strangulation. Both groups do their very best to avoid human interaction. If you're a snake another living creature is either food or threat, and because humans are too large to be prey, well, we're a threat and are to be avoided.

Australian snakes are arguably some of the most naturally beautiful in the world, displaying a range of colours and patterns. From the stunning Green Tree Python, Morelia viridis to the Black Headed Python, Aspidites melanocephalus to the Diamond Python, Morelia spilota spilota.
